OUR STORY
Inspiring potential since 2001
We began our journey in 2001 in the east end of Glasgow with our founder John Gibson aiming to create opportunity for young people who had disengaged with education and were facing social and personal barriers to accessing employment. John combined his financial sector experience with his belief that everyone has a talent, to create tigers – an organisation that’s commercially sustainable and people-centred.
Over the years the name tigers – standing for Training Initiatives Generating Effective Results Scotland – has become synonymous with relationships, collaborations and a holistic approach to development and growth. What started as a team of 2 has grown to a team of almost 100, all sharing the same vision!
