As we celebrate the first Scottish Employability Day, we’re delighted to be starting another academic year working with schools and partners across Scotland to create opportunities for young people and help them achieve their infinite potential.
For us, employability starts long before someone enters the workplace. It’s about giving young people the opportunity to explore different careers, develop practical skills, build confidence and discover pathways that can help them take their next steps.
That’s why, this academic year, we’re working with almost 20 schools across 7 local authorities, delivering 6 different vocational qualifications across Construction, Early Years and Business Skills.
By offering qualifications at a range of levels, we can meet learners where they are, support their individual goals and give them the opportunity to develop skills and experience that can help prepare them for the world of work.
Creating opportunities through vocational education
We’re currently delivering the following qualifications:
Construction
- Construction Craft – Foundation Apprenticeship – SCQF Level 4
- Construction Craft – Foundation Apprenticeship – SCQF Level 5
- Civil Engineering – Foundation Apprenticeship – SCQF Level 6
Early Years
- Social Services, Children and Young People – Foundation Apprenticeship – SCQF Level 6
- National 5 Skills for Work: Early Learning and Childcare
Business Skills
- Business Skills – Foundation Apprenticeship – SCQF Level 6
These opportunities give young people more than a qualification. They provide opportunities to develop practical and transferable skills, understand different industries and gain a clearer picture of where their interests and abilities could take them in the future.
We’re also always looking at new opportunities and qualifications that can help us respond to the needs of young people, schools, employers and the wider communities we work with.
Working together to create pathways
Our schools delivery is built around partnership.
To begin the 2026/27 academic year, we’re working with the following schools and local authorities:
Glasgow
- Govan High School
- All Saints R.C. Secondary
- Bannerman High School
- Springburn Academy
- Hillpark Secondary School
- St Roch’s Secondary School
East Dunbartonshire
- Kirkintilloch High School
North Lanarkshire
- Calderhead High School
- Caldervale High School
- St Ambrose High School
- St Andrew’s High School
West Dunbartonshire
- A selection of schools in partnership with Working4U
Falkirk
- Bo’Ness Academy
Fife
- St Andrew’s RC High School

Every school, learner and community is different, which is why we believe strong partnerships are so important. By working together with schools, local authorities and other partners, we can create opportunities that respond to the needs of young people and help them take meaningful steps towards their future.

Changing Lives Together
The first Scottish Employability Day is an opportunity to recognise the work being done across Scotland to help people develop their skills, overcome barriers and move towards employment, education and training.
For young people, that journey can begin with something as simple as being given the opportunity to try something new.
A vocational qualification can help a pupil discover an interest they didn’t know they had, develop confidence in their abilities, gain practical experience and begin to see a future pathway that feels right for them.
That’s what we want to achieve through our work in schools: creating opportunities, building skills and helping young people see what’s possible.
And we know that we can’t do that alone. It’s through collaboration with schools, local authorities, employers and our wider network of partners that we can create meaningful opportunities and help young people achieve their infinite potential.
That’s what “Changing Lives Together” means to us.
If your school is interested in working with Tigers to create more vocational and employability opportunities for young people, we’d love to hear from you and chat about how we can support your learners to achieve their infinite potential.
Inspiring Potential since 2001.
