This Easter, Tigers were proud to support Maryhill Community Tennis Club in delivering a week-long junior tennis camp. The wonderful weather made for the perfect conditions for the camp to create an exciting, fun filled week which saw some young people swing a racket for the first time.
Throughout the week, around 25 young people aged between 6 and 16 attended each day, enjoying active, engaging sessions designed to build confidence, skills, and a love of the game. The camp welcomed children of all abilities, making it a place learn the game and push to the next level, reflecting the club’s commitment to making tennis accessible to everyone, regardless of age, stage, or financial background.
We were delighted our sponsorship could cover the full cost of the camp, which meant every child could attend free of charge. This sponsorship also went towards balls and equipment costs.
By supporting initiatives like this, Tigers aims to give back to communities and create opportunities for young people to stay active, healthy, and connected. Maryhill Community Tennis Club continues to deliver affordable tennis by using revenue from adult sessions to subsidise junior programming — and partnerships like ours help make that vision a reality.
The club hopes to keep many of the children playing well beyond the camp, building a foundation for long-term engagement with the sport and strengthening community connections through shared activity. We’re delighted to have played a small part in such a positive week, and look forward to seeing Maryhill’s tennis community continue to grow!
